MacBook Liquid Damage Repair
MacBooks are thin, and liquid reaches the logic board quickly through the keyboard. Even if it seems fine afterwards, corrosion can cause failures days later.
Straight after a spill: shut it down (hold the power button), unplug it, open it into a tent shape upside down, and don't charge it. Then contact us as soon as you can.

What to expect
- We're an independent repairer. We're not Apple and not an Apple Authorised Service Provider, and repairs by an independent repairer may affect any remaining Apple warranty or AppleCare coverage — check your coverage first.
- Results depend on the liquid, the amount and the time before treatment.
- Rice does not fix liquid damage.
Frequently asked questions
My MacBook still works after a spill — is it OK?
Possibly not. Corrosion can develop over days. A clean and check is worthwhile.
Will Apple cover liquid damage?
Standard warranty doesn't cover liquid damage. AppleCare+ may cover accidental damage with an excess.
Can my data be saved?
On newer MacBooks, data recovery relies on getting the board working. Tell us early if files are critical.
