Mac Data Recovery
Getting data off a Mac depends heavily on the model. Older Macs with removable drives can often be recovered by reading the drive directly. Newer MacBooks and iMacs have encrypted storage soldered to the logic board, so the Mac itself has to work — or be repaired — to access the data.
We'll check your model, what backups exist (Time Machine, iCloud) and what's realistic, before any cost is involved.

- We're an independent repairer. We're not Apple and not an Apple Authorised Service Provider, and repairs by an independent repairer may affect any remaining Apple warranty or AppleCare coverage — check your coverage first.
- You'll need your Mac login password for encrypted drives.
- Recovery is never guaranteed, particularly after liquid damage or overwriting.

Only if the logic board can be made to work again. We'll assess that first.
Do I need my password?
Yes — modern Macs encrypt storage, and recovery requires the user's password.
Can you set up Time Machine for me afterwards?
