Laptop Liquid Damage Repair

We open the laptop, remove the battery connection and check where the liquid travelled.

Clean the affected areas
Residue and corrosion are cleaned from the board and connectors to stop further damage.

Test and quote
Once dry and clean, we test what still works and quote for any parts that need replacing — commonly the keyboard, sometimes board components.

Frequently asked questions
Should I put my laptop in rice?
No. Rice doesn't remove residue from inside the laptop. Turn it off, unplug it and get it opened and cleaned.
It still works after the spill — do I need to do anything?
It's still worth a check. Corrosion can cause failures days or weeks later.
Does insurance cover liquid damage?
Some home contents policies do. Ask your insurer what documentation they need before the repair.
